The AECF (Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund) is a non-profit institution supporting early and growth stage businesses – through provision of patient capital – to innovate, create jobs, leverage investments and markets to create resilience and sustainable incomes for rural poor and marginalised communities in Africa.

AECF’s strategy is focused on agribusiness/agriculture and renewable energy sectors with increased support to climate technologies, deepened focus on gender, youth, and employment, aimed at attaining the institution’s vision of ‘A Prosperous and Enterprising Rural Africa’.

Welcome to the Sudan SME Catalyser Program application form. This form contains questions designed to gather information that will assist us in the participant selection process. We kindly request accurate details to facilitate classification and evaluation. The program aims to support businesses by providing financial guidance and assistance. After this initial phase, technical guidance and selection will follow. You can complete the application in either Arabic or English. The Sudan SME Catalyser is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through and is implemented by African Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) in partnership with 249Startups.

You can save your progress and return to the application at any time by clicking the "Save Draft" button at the bottom of the form. The form autosaves your progress, however, we recommend that you manually save your progress.

The deadline for your application is 26th October at 1159h East African Time. Please note the system will not allow you to submit your application after this deadline. The submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Remember to click the "Submit" button at the end of the form. The AECF can only access your application after you have submitted it. You will receive a notification email confirming your submitted application.

This application process will require the applicant to share personal data. The consent will be recorded and can be withdrawn at any point in the future by writing to Blue-economykenya@aecfafrica.org. The data provided will be used exclusively for programming purposes and in supporting the applicant in accessing investment funds. The AECF complies with the data protection laws and regulations in Kenya, hence this data will be processed under the subject’s right to privacy.

NB: The AECF does not charge an application fee for participation in the competition and has not appointed any agents or intermediaries to facilitate applications. Applicants are advised to reach out directly to AECF in case of any queries.
